Amy Simmons Farber has helped shape the national narrative about Community Health Centers and their fundamental impact on public health as a federal program that started 60 years ago. Her work as communications lead and on-the-record spokesperson for the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) transformed the public profile of health centers, a cornerstone of President Lyndon Johnson's War on Poverty, and helped grow bipartisan support and federal investment for the program.

Farber secured prominent earned media coverage about health centers across the nation's most influential news outlets, including front-page features in The New York Times, as well as coverage in The Washington Post, Associated Press, Newsweek, and CNN. Her strategic storytelling and media experience made her a trusted go-to source for reporters.

Farber also served in key political communications roles, including as Communications Director for the House Financial Services Committee and as Chief of Staff and Press Secretary to U.S. Representative Joseph P. Kennedy II (D-MA).

Her career began as a journalist in Washington, DC, where she established herself as news producer and writer. Through Centered Health Connect, LLC, she now brings that full range of expertise — media relations, crisis communications, storytelling, and strategic counsel — directly to Community Health Centers and their partners.
